Faculty of Veterinary Medicine is one of the three faculties of Veterinary and Pharmaceutical University in Brno. It is the only university institution of its kind in the Czech Republic. Its educational programs have been successfully re-accredited for a maximum period possible, until the end of 2013. Teaching is provided by the total of 13 institutes and clinics of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. At present the faculty has more than 700 students in master degree programs and 90 students in doctoral degree program. Faculty provides comprehensive training in diagnosis, therapy and prevention of catching and noncatching diseases of animals and basic knowledge of hygiene of food of animal origin.


Veterinary and Pharmaceutical University in Brno This university was founded in 1918 as the first university of Czechoslovakia. Nowadays, the school is constantly growing. It is a public university with a focus on natural sciences. It trains professionals in the field of veterinary and pharmaceutical issues. In Czech Republic, it is the only university providing the degree program "Veterinary Medicine" and it is one of the two universities providing pharmaceutical education. Step 1

Submit a completed online application form, pay the application fee (includes entrance exam fee) and send supporting documents.

The supporting documents are:

  • Contract Mediation study (applicant shall sign both copies, which will send with other documents. Agency Dievrinsis send you back one signed original)
  • A completed University Application Form
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV) - in English
  • High School Leaving Certificate (original or verified copy) - two copies required - one for the University and one for the Regional Authority Office. One of the certificates has to be present with an Apostille from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in home country.
  • Photocopy of the passport
  • Birth certificate
  • Certificate about vaccination against hepatitis B
  • Two passport-sized photographs
  • Proof of application fee payment - bank swift + completed fee transfer form

All these documents must be provided in original or as verified copies (with original stamps and signatures).
