ABOUT STUDY

The teaching is held in English. The entire study is made in full-time form in English language. Graduates obtain education in a wide range of construction professions with a focus on theoretical and practical orientation on construction of land, engineering and water buildings. Graduate will also understand the basic theoretical principles and procedures of construction of various buildings and will have the knowledge of building materials. The focus of vocational subjects is related to issues of surface structures. Graduate will be able to design simple structures, present his own solutions to technical and economic problems in the construction of various types of structures. He will be ready either to continue with higher degree of the study or for immediate entry into the labor market. The study program is completed with a civil exam and with the defense of the diploma thesis. Students receive the Master degree.

ABOUT UNIVERSITY

THE SLOVAK UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY IN BRATISLAVA offers university education mainly in: technical, technological, technical-economical, technical-information and technical-artistic fields of study.

There are around 19, 000 national and foreign students studying at all grades and forms of studies at the 7 faculties of the university based in Bratislava and Trnava.

Complex accreditation of the operation of STU has been completed in 2009. Based on the declaration of the Accreditation Commission, the counselling body of the Government of the Slovak Republic, STU continues to be classified as a university-type college. According to Article 84, Section 5 of Act No. 131/2002 Coll. on universities, on amendments and supplements to certain laws as amended and upon the declaration of the Accreditation Commission, the Minister of Education of the Slovak Republic has conferred a right to STU to grant relevant academic titles to graduates of study programmes in study branches

ABOUT CITY

Košice (Slovak pronunciation: [ˈkɔʃɪt͡sɛ] ( listen), German: Kaschau, Hungarian: Kassa) is a city in eastern Slovakia. It is situated on the river Hornád at the eastern reaches of the Slovak Ore Mountains, near the border with Hungary. With a population of approximately 240,000, Košice is the second largest city in Slovakia after the capital Bratislava.

Being the economic and cultural center of eastern Slovakia, Košice is the seat of the Košice Region and Košice Self-governing Region, the Slovak Constitutional Court, three universities, various dioceses, and many museums, galleries, and theaters. Košice is an important industrial center of Slovakia. The U. S. Steel Košice steel mill is the biggest employer in the region. The town has good railway connections and an international airport. The city has a well preserved historical center, which is the largest among Slovak towns. There are many heritage protected buildings in Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, and Secession styles with Slovakia's largest church - St. Elisabeth Cathedral. The long main street, rimmed with aristocratic palaces, Catholic churches, and townsfolk's houses, is a thriving pedestrian zone with many boutiques, cafés, and restaurants. The city is well known as the first settlement in Europe to be granted its own coat-of-arms.

ABOUT COUNTRY

The Slovak Republic (short form: Slovakia) is a landlocked state in Central Europe. It has a population of over five million and an area of about 49,000 square kilometers. Slovakia is a landlocked country bordered by the Czech Republic and Austria to the west, Poland to the north, Ukraine to the east and Hungary to the south. The largest city is the capital, Bratislava, and the second largest is Košice. Slovakia is a member state of the European Union, NATO, United Nations, OECD and WTO among others. The official language is Slovak, a member of the Slavic language family.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Step 1

Submit a completed online application form, pay the application fee (includes entrance exam fee) and send supporting documents.

The supporting documents are:

  • Contract Mediation study (applicant shall sign both copies, which will send with other documents. Agency Dievrinsis send you back one signed original)
  • A completed University Application Form
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV) - in English
  • High School Leaving Certificate (original or verified copy) - two copies required - one for the University and one for the Regional Authority Office. One of the certificates has to be present with an Apostille from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in home country.
  • Photocopy of the passport
  • Birth certificate
  • Two passport-sized photographs
  • Proof of application fee payment - bank swift + completed fee transfer form

All these documents must be provided in original or as verified copies (with original stamps and signatures).

Receive a university acceptance/rejection letter or provisional acceptance* letter.

* The provisional acceptance letter means that admission into the University is pending until all documents are submitted and the applicant pays the tuition fee.

If accepted to the University, students must pay the registration fee within 14 days after receiving the letter of acceptance.
