ABOUT STUDY

The history of pharmaceutical education in the Czech Republic dates back to 1348. In 1950 the Faculty of Pharmacy moved to Brno and later merged with the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Comenius University. In 1969, it became the Faculty of Pharmacy of Charles University, located in Hradec Kralove. Currently, it is one of the three faculties of Veterinary and Pharmaceutical University in Brno.

Veterinary and Pharmaceutical University in Brno This university was founded in 1918 as the first university of Czechoslovakia. Nowadays, the school is constantly growing. It is a public university with a focus on natural sciences. It trains professionals in the field of veterinary and pharmaceutical issues. In Czech Republic, it is the only university providing the degree program "Veterinary Medicine" and it is one of the two universities providing pharmaceutical education. In the campus, veterinary doctor surgeries, human doctor surgeries and the faculty apothecary, are located.

CONDITIONS OF REGISTRATION

  • Good knowledge of the English language
  • Passing the entrance examination
  • Submission of the online application form with timely payment of fees

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Step 1

Submit a completed online application form, pay the first part of registration fee (includes entrance exam fee) and send supporting documents.

Step 3

Receive a university acceptance/rejection letter or provisional acceptance* letter.

*The provisional acceptance letter means that admission into the University is pending until all documents are submitted and the applicant pays the tuition fee.

Step 4 

If accepted to the University, students must pay the second part of registration fee

and submit the following documents within 14 days after receiving the letter of acceptance.

The following documents:

  • Curriculum Vitae (CV) in English
  • High School Leaving Certificate (original or verified copy) - two copies required - one for the University and one for the Regional Authority Office.
  • Photocopy ofr the passport
  • Two passport-sized photographs
  • Transcripts of the last 3 years of High School with names and numbers of lessons ( if your High School is a private school: certification that the school is recognized by your country).

All these documents must be provided in original or as verified copies (with original stamps and signatures). According to the law, the notary verified copy should be done in the Czech Republic. The University accepts verified copies from the Embassy in the applicant's home country, however it is recommended to verify the documents in the Czech Republic to guarantee that it will be recognized by the Regional Government Authority.

  • students from Greece & Cyprus can present original or verified documents. No Apostille is required on documents.
  • students from the United Kingdom, Norway, Kazakhstan & Turkey must present documents with an Apostille from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in home country.
  • students from Egypt, Jordan & Iraq must present documents with an Apostille from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in home country and also a stamp from the Czech Embassy in home country.
  • students from the United Kingdom: because secondary education is different in the United Kingdom, students from the UK need to provide certificates from passed exams (A levels and others) and certificates from all school years at secondary school level  (e.g., transcripts, schedules). Students with an academic background must also present certificates from all semesters (completed and uncompleted).
