The study of General Medicine lasts six years and the whole instruction is made in English. The program is organized into four terms during the first two years of studies. It includes biophysics, biostatistics, biology, genetics, chemistry and biochemistry, anatomy, histology and embryology, and physiology. The third and fourth years of study are devoted to preclinical disciplines such as pathological anatomy, pathophysiology, microbiology, immunology, and pharmacology. In the fifth year exclusively clinical disciplines are taught. The sixth year is organized as a bedside practice in internal medicine, surgery, gynecology and obstetrics, pediatrics and in preventive medicine and hygiene. The clinical instruction takes place in the University Hospital. This study prepares students for application in all fields of preventive medical care. Curricula of Czech and English study programs are entirely parallel and fully comparable with the current international standards. They are accredited by EU and in the USA. This study terminates with a state examination and the thesis defense. Graduates receive the title MUDr.


Charles University: Faculty of Medicine in Hradec Králové was established in 1945 as a subbranch of the Faculty of general medicine of the Prague University. Now it is an independent faculty of Charles University. All its degree programs are accredited.

Step 1

Submit a completed online application form, pay the application fee (includes entrance exam fee) and send supporting documents.

The supporting documents are:

  • Contract Mediation study (applicant shall sign both copies, which will send with other documents. Agency Dievrinsis send you back one signed original)
  • A completed University Application Form
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV) - in English
  • High School Leaving Certificate (original or verified copy) - two copies required - one for the University and one for the Regional Authority Office. One of the certificates has to be present with an Apostille from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in home country.
  • Photocopy of the passport
  • Birth certificate
  • Certificate about vaccination against hepatitis B
  • Two passport-sized photographs
  • Proof of application fee payment - bank swift + completed fee transfer form

All these documents must be provided in original or as verified copies (with original stamps and signatures).
